The story
from Technilat
In 1984, Jean-Rémy Bergounhe started manufacturing slatted bed bases in Millau (12). In 1985, he opened a workshop in Rodez (12) and hired his first employee.
Little by little, the company Le Sommeil Français with its Technilat brand developed and specialized in mid-range high-end bedding.
Today it has more than 90 employees and achieves an annual turnover of more than 23 million euros.

Depending on the bedding, our teams from the mattress, box spring or headboard workshop are responsible for manufacturing. Whether it is upholstery, assembly of materials, machining of wooden parts, hand-tufting... our teams have mastered the manufacturing chain for years and ensure from stage 1 of manufacturing to the final stages of loading and delivery to our partner stores.
We distribute our bedding only to more than 600 furniture specialists throughout France, and we do not sell our bedding on the internet. Because we consider that professional advice and testing the bedding are essential to make the right choice and offer you beautiful nights...
Our products are controlled by bedding professionals. Our mattresses are CTB Literie certified and have the Belle Literie or Belle Literie Excellence brand. Our mattresses and box springs are guaranteed for 5 to 10 years. A multitude of reasons to sleep with serenity...
